When it comes to neon art exhibitions or contemporary art exhibitions in general, southwest Missouri is a region that has been largely overlooked. Until now. The SW MO area now has its own place on the “neon art map” thanks to ideaXfactory in Springfield, MO.

Having been a staple of downtown Springfield since October of 2012, ideaXfactory is a very unconventional art gallery that has become a place where artists in Springfield and elsewhere in the region have created dazzling art exhibitions using technologies such as fiber optic art, LEDs, ceramics, yarn, sidewalk chalk, and of course, neon!
