The Yakima Valley Museum in Yakima, WA is the only museum in the USA and possibly the world to have a whole garden filled with vintage neon signs!
The Neon Garden exhibit is a permanent exhibition at the museum. All signs featured in the Neon Garden are signs from local businesses that have either closed or donated their signs to the museum.
Among the neon signs on display in the Neon Garden are the “Welcome to Yakima” sign that adorned the terminal of the Yakima International Airport from the late 1950s-1990s, the Yakima Cycle Shop sign that was a staple of downtown Yakima for over half a century, and the Union Gospel Mission neon cross.
